Top 1 comfort/pick-me-up movie. Never ever ever fails cheering me up and never goes down in comedic value.

It took me a week to watch this. I think it was like 3 or 4 sittings. I ended up liking it enough but it never went anywhere crazy. I do think it gets better throughout and the ending is actually rlly good, I enjoyed that part. Chalamet lifts this movie up and him and Ed Norton are carrying most of this thing on its back. Holy moly. Idk how they pulled this off but they did it. Tons of creative risks starting with he’s a damn monkey 😭 somehow it works. I thought they managed to avoid being corny and toe the line well. The score brought out strong emotion in me. I connected well. The CGI and other special effects created a surreal atmosphere that melded fiction and reality. brilliant. The helicopter scene and the part where he drives into the water…

    Regal Mystery Movie Monday

Could be the theater effect, but I was enthralled. Has a star-studded cast, but it is clear they were meticulously picked for their respective roles. Every actor nails their part, and since there are many characters it’s a crucial part. Just to make a story about stock trading this exciting is impressive on its own. I actually got hype at someone swiping up on their phone for a Robinhood trade. Not without its flaws, and doesn’t make too many crazy decisions creatively, but accomplishes the mission it sets out for.
