  Really nothing. Nothing at all. The animation lacks an impact. The story is tedious. The comedy (of the US dub) is mind-numbing. The voice acting teeters between competent and emotionless. I wish I could say anything about how the film made me feel. But any emotions had during the film are in spite of the film.

  Not worth watching even as a joke.

  At times, the goofiness of the presentation can undercut the emotion of a scene in a way that I feel doesn't work. Suprisingly, these moments are few and far between. Despite looking like a visual hodge-podge (which I was personally a fan of), the visuals never really felt too overwhelming or ugly for me to take the film seriously. A beautiful tapestry of dysphoria, shitty romance, ironic detatchment, and eventually finding yourself and becoming somebody.
