Loved how this film turned out. In my opinion, the best edge that this movie has in the horror/suspense flick genre is its minimal sound design, so you can't anticipate most of the jump scares because the movie maintains its silence all throughout. Emily Blunt is as usual, amazing (duh), and so are all the performances. The cinematography was also breath-taking (quite literally, since it induced the feelings of tension and the added weight of suspense, haha). Really, really good film

I realized I haven't reviewed this Academy Award winning Best Picture yet, so I rewatched this flick yesterday in an effort to relive my thoughts and feelings about this movie.

Aesthetic-wise, this was without a doubt the most creative and beautifully crafted film of all Best Picture contenders (sorry CMBYN fans, the use of magical realism really took the cake for me). A cult-classic. A masterpiece for film critic discourse. A film that never ages.

I honestly haven't heard one bad thing about Inception, and up to this day, this might still be one of the best movies I've ever sat down to see. The story is brilliant, as expected always from Nolan, but it was also very close to his heart because from what i've read, he started writing the concept for about 8 years? And to see something so holy…

This movie was made to sell their songs or their soundtrack. It was almost as if they only decided to weave a story out of the songs, and later made it into a movie with the hopes of accumulating more profit. Sigh. I never felt invested in any of the characters, because the story was so poorly presented that it didn't allow for any of the emotions to set in. People looking for a simple, quick and easy feel-good, no-brainer film will certainly get a kick out of this one; people used to movies having a little more depth might want to sit this one out.
