  Independence Day 1996

  I didn’t know this movie was pretty funny. Not my favorite Roland Emmerich film (that goes to The Day After Tomorrow), but still ticks all the boxes in a fun disaster flick, even if the build up was pretty slow. Jeff Goldblum and Judd Hirsch as a father/son duo absolutely sold it, and I’m glad the dog survived. 

  Not sure if I’d bother watching it again, but I’ve cued up the sequel on my watchlist so we’ll see how that one goes instead.
