Fun fact about me: At least once or twice a month I go on YouTube and look up “Sutton Foster Anything Goes Tony Performance” and then I watch it 5 or 6 times in a row and then go about my day! All that to say that there’s isn’t a universe that exists where I don’t give this five stars. I am so excited to live in the SFBCU (Sutton Foster Broadway Cinematic Universe ((it’s just this and Shrek))) and I hope she lives forever
Also, musicals are so… undeniably stupid. Just so fuckin’ dumb every time. I love them so much.

Sorry! This was so funny. The needle drop. The pan to the chessboard as they said “for black and for white”. The bird slow blinking to its death as it makes eye contact with both of its owners. The flurry of papers of secret chess. The fact that they didn’t even kiss. Nonsensical 10/10. Watching every year.
