Didn't watch this movie but I accidentally went to church super early today and ended up sitting through the morning service and the normal service afterwards. 2.5 hour stint so I thought I'd log it. Pews got a bit painful but I've sat through longer. Excellent choral soundtrack.

Much like how Hans Zimmer turned away the classical, overtly Westernised representation of scenes in space, I enjoyed this movie for the brusque departure from the conventional glamorous overlay that has historically tended to underpin the science-fiction genre. Instead we are shown an awkward, visceral, and wholly uncomfortable price to pay for "progress".
