  I love love love Eggers' other films and may have set my expectations too high to *really* be immersed in his take on this vampire classic. Unfortunately, it felt held back, very possibly trying to be too close to a shot-for-shot on the original when he could have done something a little more unique and grittier with the time period.

  Has some really strong scenes and great visuals, but didn't give me that wow-factor I found with witch, lighthouse or norseman.
