i mean if this isn’t a five star film then i don’t know what is.
Everything was very thoughtful; here are some highlights: the landscape shots that lingered, the final reveal from the niece, the labyrinthine search for Van Buren through the dark, and the use of light and particularly shadow to portray characters (notably the cousins face as he turns Toth away)—which is then beautifully mirrored by the play of light and shadow in the architecture Toth constructs.
Very satisfying film. Could say more (and I do have a few critiques despite my 5 star rating) but all in all—excellent.
