  this movie was not was I expected and I love that!

   the way it plays with distance as an element throughout is something I really appreciated. whilst we constantly hear the sounds of screams, furnaces and gunshots we (as the audience) get so used to it by the end that we barely notice it - much in the same way that it is normalized to these families living just on the other side of everyday murder. it makes you think…
