In the sense of telling a compelling narrative, this was alright, I guess. Praise section over.
This documentary solidifies a lot of things for me, mainly my hatred for reality TV, The Kardashians, Netflix, and true crime documentaries. I don't know what compelled me to watch it, but all it left me was bored and annoyed. Anything I could say about why this sucks has been said so much better by so many other reviews, but I'll explain my complaints…

Uncut Gems 2019
You can’t help but love to hate the pitiful scumbag that is Howard Ratner. Even given every opportunity to do the right thing, (or some would say the smart thing) like fixing past mistakes and paying debts, he doubles down on making his life all the more miserable for himself, and it’s immaculate. Good Time is still my favorite Safdie movie so far, but the effort that went into this is undeniable. Also it’s strange in retrospect seeing a completely normal version of Julia Fox. She was the muse for Uncut Geeehhhhhms, after all. Idina Mendel super underrated, loved her in this.

The Last Witch Hunter 2015
A generic fantasy movie mixed with a generic action movie. At least Vin Diesel looked like he was having a fun time. Oddly reminds me of the first Suicide Squad movie and those Tom Cruise Mummy movies, visually speaking. All around I felt bored, and that's about it.
