After watching The Good, The Bad, and They Ugly, I was craving some more westerns. So I went to Amazon and sort of just picked one because Clint Eastwood was in it. This is not the same thing as Sergio Leone’s films. It was just kinda meh, felt and looked very cheap, mostly boring. It was not unwatchable, but it’s just not really entertaining.
There were some interesting ideas and themes it was playing with that I enjoyed, especially surrounding lynching and the morality of people giving justice. I just thought the characters were largely uninteresting and I wasn’t really rooting for anybody.
