If Jessica Chastain is in it, I’m probably going to give it a chance. She has such a way with complex storylines and real life pain and trauma. Her, Peter Sarsgaard, and all the other actors in this job did a great job holding space for the painful topics in this movie. This movie deals with alcohol abuse, mental health issues, dementia, and sexual abuse so it should be considered before watching as it could be triggering.
