I wanted something that was impossible to take seriously and make me laugh, and I definitely got that…maybe a little too much.
It’s a little TOO self-referential and on the nose for being a parody on rom-coms in a horror setting, but I’m just glad we have another Valentine’s Day horror film we can watch because it’s certainly been way too long. This may be one of the better options we have (that’s saying a lot), but boy oh boy…

The girlies couldn’t handle a double feature of this and Babygirl because Antonio Banderas starting off to present day will STILL have you weak.
This was incredible, emotional, unsettlingly erotic and disturbing…I couldn’t look away. He is the master of sexual tension in settings that just don’t fit right (aka: Stockholm Syndrome), and not sure anyone can make films about such controversial topics as beautiful and challenging quite like him.
What even was this? I get Samara Weaving famously gets wrecked in every movie she’s in, but this wasn’t even really funny or interesting. It was so all over the place that it lost any comedic beats it was trying to achieve.
Well I feel sick to my stomach with the reality that this is a story for many women out there.

And to think Kieran Culkin almost walked away from this! This film is only as successful and effective as it is because there could never be a better pair than Eisenberg and Culkin to play these cousins.
