    This is the kind of movie they call visual poetry, with every single feeling and situation conveyed by a great use of camera be it by focusing on people's mimics and facial expressions, or their surroundings as the primary reflection of their reality, which is that of people who live day by day without ever being able to see what lies a bit further ahead. It also gives a highly realistic and nuanced depiction of human relationships amongst family and neighbours both on an individual and societal level. I can't wait to see the other movies of the saga.

    Shot against a backdrop of candy-like pastel and vivid colours, The Florida Project walks the thin line between a light heart and a heavy one, taking the viewer from the carefree idleness of childhood to an inevitably harsh ending, while keeping the faith for what friendship and human connection might bring even at the worst of life. Great performance especially by child actors, and one of the most powerful final scenes I've ever seen.
