I perhaps wasn't in the right headspace for this film at the time.
Felt it hard to connect with the story, too many characters, too little depth, frustrating (?) pace. I felt like I was trying to catch up with everything happening for the first half, but the second half was painfully slow and drawn out.
Overall I really enjoyed this film !! Well written story, beautiful colour grading, transitions and cinematography. I loved the tension created by the mismatch between the visuals and the score- I was stressing at multiple points in the film.
I felt that on first watch (and in a group context), I didn't connect deeply with the story, but that may have to do with the acting from some characters (sorry Paul...). I will revisit at some point to see if I feel the same way, especially now that I know the full story.
