  despite how much i loved this film, i’m really not sure about the ending.

  had the film ended three mins earlier, i would confidently say i love everything about this film. but something happens in the last three mins that is so baffling, so upsetting and gratuitous, and i just don't know what to make of it. it’s a shame, cos this was amazing up until that point. very conflicted. but hey the musical numbers slayed
