This was fantastic. From the theming, to the storytelling, to the pacing; everything worked well in this movie. I don’t normally like slow burns, but this made me reconsider. I think it’s because the payoff justified the burn.

This movie started off with promise but felt like it took too long to get to the end. The line “you can’t speak it, must whisper it” took me out of the experience. After that, a lot of the imagery was a bit on the nose and I was ready for the movie to end

Crimes of the Future 2022
I was hoping for a bit more body horror from this movie. It was more unsettling and gruesome to watch. I liked how the universe is just foreign enough to justify the bizarre behavior and equipment but close enough to be related to reality. This movie has a message to say and I feel the plot was coherent enough that everything made sense for the actions that occur and get it's message across.

This movie was over the top outlandish and whimsical at times which I argue is a double edged sword. The code of Sams was hilarious. The satanists wearing drill cod pieces was a bit weird. If you're looking for a light hearted gore fest, this is your movie.
