X-Men Week: Movie #6
Once again a solid showing, not great, from the xmen. Very similar to the first but I liked the plot better, they gave some worse characters less screen time, and it was pretty funny

Very average yet refreshingly enjoyable. Didn’t try to do too much with the characters or overdo the powers and the acting was solid for the most part (except james marsden and some others).
Was it a great movie? Not particularly. But this being the first released x-men I thought it was a nice introduction into the franchise for first time viewers

The Godfather 1972
This is an amazing movie. I couldn’t pick out any aspect of this movie (cinematography, music, character development, plot) that needed work. The acting was amazing, and I will rewatch this eventually (this is al pacino’s best movie)
I just don’t think i like it more than goodfellas? And i get that there’s no goodfellas without Godfather, but I expected it to clear it easily

One of Ghibli’s better complete storylines and the style reminded me a lot like Avatar the last airbender. Great animation and music, solid writing
