I watched this a decade ago and I remember liking it, but since becoming a big fan of The State and a bigger appreciator of absurdism overall, this is truly up my alley.

I really, supremely hate that I can draw the parallels to society today.
Sally, Brian, Maximillian, they represent people insulated by privilege and indifference to the horrible fascism manifesting itself around them. Their lives go on as normally and everyone else is either drawn into the lure of fascism or suffers greatly under it.
