Such a unique and fresh way to make a film and tell a story. Was it mindblowingly good? No, but it was bittersweet and nostalgic and made me sad.

Babette's Feast 1987
Beige, pious people in a beige, pious world are scared to eat a beautiful, decadent, multi-course French feast because they think it is witchcraft and will invite evil.
In Minnesota, we’d hit ‘em after church on Sunday with a tater tot hot dish, a brewski, and bars for dessert, and then the rest of the movie would be a 3-hour long goodbye.
