A Real Pain is a gorgeous and heartbreaking film that left me feeling everything all at once. Kieran Culkin’s performance is so lovely. I wanted to wrap him up in a hug. He was able to capture the pain that can come from loving so deeply and feeling everything so intensely. Jesse Eisenberg’s somehow captured the unfamiliarity, hope, and wonder of discovering a place that’s both new to you and a part of you. Their relationship was funny, sweet, sad, and raw. It’s a film about grief, identity, and the pain of being someone who feels everything.

Beautiful film about the healing power of art and brotherhood.
“Anger is the easiest thing to play. What’s more complicated is to play hurt.” It was a joy to witness men learning to dig deeper than their anger and into their pain, and to understand that this is how they began to heal.

A Safdie Brothers film but make it gender business girl boss. On the edge of my seat the whole time - a million good lines but i was sweating too much to remember any.

Javier Bardem you lil freak. I knew from the moment his wild eyes were popping out his head in the first scene this movie was going to be a wild ride.
Definitely deserves a rewatch.
