  Genuinely shocked by all of the rave reviews for this one. This is fucking abysmal. Borderline unwatchable. The most surface level girl boss shit imaginable. The entire movie is Twitter speak. It’s just a collection of buzz words strung together to get people that still rock “I’m With Her” bumper stickers to hoot & holler at the screen until they’re slightly less pale in the face.   “Welcome to Potter’s Bluff. A New Way Of Life.”

  It’s absurd I’ve gone my entire life so far without seeing this. It’s remarkable. Checks almost all of my specific boxes. Atmospheric, impeccably shot, creepy, sexy in a weird way. Strong Invasion of the Body Snatchers and The Fog vibes with a pinch of the pre-Romero zombie flicks, while still maintaining an original, compelling narrative all it’s own. A young Robert Englund. An old Grandpa Joe from Willy Wonka as a passionate artist with a very specific skill set.

  Fuck. This is so good. Loved everything about it. Another new to me favorite.
