A-bi-di-a-bi-di-a-bi-di this movie deserved better, folks.
Train go fast and plot go 🤷♂️.
I enjoyed it enough to say that it's worth seeing if you have a free afternoon and want a fun, nonsensical ride. I would not say it's good storytelling. It's needlessly convoluted and no character has any depth to warrant buying the nonexistent stakes that are set up. But *most* of the action is well-shot and it's goofy/funny enough that I had fun.
It gets an extra half-star for Aaron Taylor-Johnson's mustache and Hiroyuki Sanada b/c he is always great at being great and cool. Also I like swords and neon.
Burns: Yes, by cutting off cable TV and the beer supply, I can ensure an honest winter's work out of those lowlifes.
Smithers: Sir, did you ever stop to think that maybe it was doing this that caused the previous caretakers to go insane and murder their families?
Burns: Hmm... perhaps. Tell you what: we come back and everyone's slaughtered, I owe you a Coke.
