  Obviously a love letter to the source material, Shin Kamen Rider is a goofy good time with a lot of clearly deliberate jump cuts and it-cost-money-to-look-this cheap costumes and special effects. Pacing drags in the middle but I still enjoyed my time with it. I don't know much about Kamen Rider and haven't watched the old stuff though so I suspect a fan would have really got a lot out of it.

  It's natural to compare to Shin Godzilla, which is a very different film but also imo a better film.
