Superb. Lived up to the hype. Heart-breaking. I wonder if the little Termeh chose her dad (what a damned stubborn man he was) to "guarantee" that their folks could get back together over choosing her mom which would have "killed" her dad, leaving him alone with his ill father and without a wife. I mean it's hard to take sides: divorce is evil. The wife was right all along but that sick grandad hovering over them :(

[To my late mother] I remember when she'd try and prevent me from showing my younger brothers & sisters this film with the 'excuse' that it was too violent (for her, 'The Care Bears' were violent :3) - actually saying 'It's filled with car chases and fires'. We all LOL'd hard, ignored her & I put the VHS tape in the VCR and we had a blast. I miss Her and the 90's oh so much :s Jeff Daniels personified the 90s for me.

[Cinémathèque PT #: 35 mm] (2012) I felt warm air breathing out of the screen onto my face. One of the best homages to a director I've ever seen. Herzog's words are always funny and insightful. Love seeing him speaking German for once. Always felt like if you turn on a film camera anywhere in Japan a film will get to happen anyway. Maybe it's silly, but that country just has a golden & magical landscape. Cameras+Japan<3

[CC Colombo - DCP] While I do appreciate the '"JW 4' saves cinema" headlines, they're vastly overrated. There's no narrative, no characters, no arcs, just random characters in too many cities - tinder for action movies. i already thought the 3rd was a semi-disaster but this one, even with Reeves dialogue concision is even a flatter movie. great showdown in Paris, but the road towards it is quite dull. Reddick deserved a better farewell imho. reeves is great but this needs better writers. sans pathos it's all fire with no works.
