  I basically enjoyed this but also felt let down! I sort of understand the urge to imagine situations that could’ve led Emily to the feverish and terrifying passion she conjured up in Wuthering Heights - but Emily had a famously wild imagination. She was already a fiery weirdo and did not need the fake hot priest for WH inspo. And why were her sisters relegated almost to extras??

  I HATE PEOPLE, I ABHOOOOOR THEM 😤
  Albert Finney is a PERFECT Scrooge. The fact he was only 34 is wild, he’s such a good oldie. This is my fave version. It feels like a companion to Oliver! in terms of Dickens adaptations - faithful but fun and full of heart. Icon Alec Guinness is a wonderfully creepy Marley, the Ghost of Xmas Present is pure delight and all the songs SLAP. Thank you very much!!!!!!
