Sincerely one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. Dryly hilarious and campy and self-unserious in a very endearing way.
I think people who disliked this were more preoccupied with what their perception of a horror movie should be and not the actual virtues of the movie.
Would have rewatched immediately if I was seeing this at home, which is the highest compliment I can give a movie.

Im not sure if it's because I've experienced more life than the average Bulgarian from the late 20th century, but mussels and fish and the preparation of crawdads does not an interesting backdrop make.
Technically good film. Deviously pro-isreal pro-genocide with the whole "these people we started killing are now trying to kill us, the only obvious solution is to kill them even harder rather than show any sort of humanity" glorification for the majority of the runtime only to be followed by the hollowest "killing them made me feel sad" face-turns.
Who doesn't sweaty hate fuck their wife thinking about the extrajudicial killings that made you do extrajudicial killings. Literally lold when Eric Bana had a garnier fructis hair flip.
