  Just a great midnight movie experience. It’s always looked great but I’ve maybe never seen anything as beautiful as that final showdown in snow on this watch. Also Lucy Liu with the 70’s haircut that we barely see her in is my new crush.

  Lincoln 2012

  ★★★★ Rewatched 19 Mar 2025

  First rewatch since seeing this in theaters with my dad. I remember liking it then, but also feeling like I had to like it? That said I’m so happy to have rewatched this and be able to confidently say it fucks! DDL is obviously killing it but the movie I lock into is the widely overqualified cast pushing Lincoln’s boulder uphill. 

  I’ll admit I was a bit distracted for the first hour of this rewatch but felt myself locking into…

  I was pretty sleepy and my theatre's chairs were not very comfy so I was antsy but I still think it felt a bit long. The Ruffalo and Ackie performances don’t really work for me but I loved Pattinson. 

  Mickey 17 joins the annoying genre of recent Hollywood films that were very clearly made thinking someone else would be president right now IE The Last Jedi and Halloween Kills. 

  The last line really hit for me.
