  Michael Caine's knowingly winking straight man persona does a great job balancing against the goofiness of Steve Martin in this decently plotted con artist caper. I'd love to remake this movie and take the comedic tone and sense of duplicity in a slightly different direction.

  Is this corn?

  Fun update on the Snow White story, and an interesting exposition of low-brow/high-brow. I think there's a lot to learn from how they adapted it, particularly the way they shift the interplay of jealousy in the story.
