this is a movie i knew i would love but never watched because i also knew it would break my heart. i went into the movie knowing the story and all the major scenes, but i wasn’t prepared for the way the timeline was established. it was an absolutely devastating choice to cut between the past and the present, getting closer and closer to what you know is an unavoidable outcome. i sobbed so much.
