Another one of the classics I’ve never seen till now. Jack Nicholson plays a great “I’m the bad boy who’s gonna unite these patients against the evil nurse” character, and it was cool seeing the moments where he empowers his fellow patients to believe they really are normal people. Solid film, it’s a bit bleak and sat heavy with me at the end so don’t think I’ll rewatch it for a while but overall good story.

Captain America: Brave New World 2025
Ugh… I think I have Stockholm Syndrome with Marvel movies, no matter how much they let me down I keep watching them. I really had hope for this one, the Chris Evans Captain America trilogy is one of Marvel’s greatest hero trilogies (Guardians of the Galaxy is a close second) so I had high expectations but left the theater feeling disappointed and clueless as to how this furthered the MCU.
I don’t know what needs to happen for the MCU…

The Nice Guys 2016
Hilarious film, the chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe was something I didn’t expect to work so well and yet it did. It was an interesting premise for a movie (was not expecting to see boobs in the first 3 minutes) but the plot kept me engaged and curious. So many funny bits (Richard Nixon in the pool had me crying laughing) and I can never brag enough about Ryan Gosling/literally me. Great film!

I’ve been putting off watching this movie cause I’m not a huge musical guy, but let me say after watching it I get the hype now.
First off, outstanding sets and choreography; I loved the extravagance of it all. Ariana Grande felt like Cat in Victorious again, she plays the ditzy blonde well (maybe it’s a natural character for her, boom roasted).
