    Ya Know that scene in Arrested Development when Micheal Bluth opens the fridge looking for something to eat, but only finds a bag labeled: "Dead dove. Do not eat." Then, while looking inside the bag, says (almost irritated at himself) ‘I honestly don't know what I expected.’

    This is kind of the movie equivalent of that.

    Seann William Scott plays a stressed-out high school guidance counselor who helps his students by murdering their abusive relatives.

    I enjoyed the hell out of this. If anyone’s a fan of the show Dexter, Bloodline is probably razor close to that feature film you’ve always wanted. 

    As for Scott, I always point to films like Goon and The Rundown as evidence that he’s a vastly underrated actor. It’s great to see him in a completely different role than he’s had…

    Smile is a really effective horror movie that knows what it is but also takes it as step further to do more than what was expected of it. 

    I really didn’t know what more you could do with an entity that just smiles at you. Sure that’s creepy, but I felt like that could only take you so far. In terms of story, thrills, and even visuals, all three of those factors were expanded out in very enjoyable ways.
