Anora 2024
Sean Bakers' take on what it means to be a young female sex worker in modern times is idealistic. Ani has consensual fun, and her harships and grievances are superficial and always at her expense. The film is also highly voyeuristic around the lead actress and her figure. I do give Mikey props in her performance near the end of the movie. Yet, this mildly entertaining film can be described as predictable at worst and shallow at its best. Baker did better with Tangerine back on 2015 *mic drop*.

This film will make you reflect on the nuances of human nature and animal instinct. Creatively shot, well performed, and more so, expertly written. Will live in my memory years to come for its ending caused quite an impression.
