  I truely enjoyed the book but it’s always dangerous to watch a movie based on a book you enjoy because it never truely lives up to the hype. It had all the cutesy moments I was excited to see and it was really enjoyable to see the characters come to life.  The DV aspect seemed a bit overshadowed especially in regards to Lily’s traumatic upbringing, how it affected her relationship with her parents and why she stayed with Ryle so how.
