The great irony of "sirens of the deep" is just how incredibly shallow the writing and characters are in this so-called adaptation.
Netflix truly is handling the Witcher franchise in the same way Disney is handling Star Wars, and is clearly doing more damage to Geralt than any monster ever could.
This movie worked on so many levels. Every performance was great, the humour really worked for me and I was engaged in the story from start to finish. I think this is one of the most realistic takes on how AI could be used (and abused), and made for a fascinating, thrilling and genuinely fun movies I've seen recently.
Firstly, every performance in this was right off the top shelf. I think the film did a really good job at separating itself from the largely overused trait of leaning into the 'American dream,' and rather took its time breaking that ideology apart over the two halves of the film with a harsh dip into reality.
