(500) Days of Summer is a fantastic, often misunderstood movie. The writing, editing, acting, story structure, music, score - damn near everything - is top tier. About as enthusiastic a 3 star review can be. I thoroughly enjoyed it throughout its runtime and liked all the performances, especially Taron Egerton. The story is very compelling, although I don’t think it needed so much embellishment to make it more exciting.
