I have been meaning to watch this movie for well over two years. It did not disappoint:

Watched for my Franco-African film class. Going to give my professor a fat kiss on the mouth for this.
Cannot even begin to describe this film in its strong themes of religion, sex, colonialism, and the formidable strength of familial connection.
Objectively, Augure is somewhat all over the place in its plot lines, but I find a kind of appreciation in it, and didn’t find the story that hard to follow. Visually this movie has quickly climbed the ranks of movies I consider to have the strongest and most beautiful imagery.
