  X-Men: Days of Future Past 2014

  definitely the strongest x men film even though the plot can get a little convoluted at times. there's so many amazing set pieces (quicksilver, sentinel fight etc) and of course hugh jackman is the perfect wolverine. I love that this movie bridges the gap between the original x men trilogy and first class, but for a non-x men fan it might get a little confusing. at the end of the day it's just an entertaining and fun movie to watch

  100% the freakiest movie I've ever seen. kind of "dude where's my car" friendship roadtrip vibes if that movie was also challengers and had commentary on mexican class disparities. beautiful set locations/scenery and honestly very educational for someone that doesn't know anything about mexican culture

  hugh grant was amazingly scary in this one, a24 does it again. great psychological mystery horror that also somehow manages to be really theologically interesting (I especially liked the monopoly analogy). this is kind of like if the prestige was a religious horror film

  this movie really exceeded my expectations, I usually don't like musicals but this one was great. excellent casting and set design, ariana grande was also much better than I thought she would be and I very much enjoyed the last act (hella nice pharah ult by elphaba)
