  OVERALL -- Mechanical Violator Hakaider never fails to kick ass. Never ever. It's the benchmark I use to figure out if I really loved a movie. Of course gonna love a super violent japanese superhero movie.

  TECHNICAL -- Absolutely incredible costumes and set design. The final fight with the blood-red destroyed wall interiors was so cool. The fight starts out in a pristine white chamber and it looks like someone gutted a fish by its end.

  Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this was a dog :(:(. I was hoping a Miike movie of one of my favorite manga series would at least be fun, but it ranks down with Batman: The Killing Joke as worst comic adaptations

  I FORGOT how much this movie pads for time!! Pretty sure that the script itself is only for an hour long movie. Regardless of the thin script and the MULTIPLE music videos around, it's still really enjoyable superhero trash. Dolph Lundgren plays this role to utter perfection.
