For a point of reference, in 2023 in Italy, this film did better than Barbie and won national awards! Somehow it flew under the radar in the US but is worth a watch.
Paola Cortellesi stars in a successful actor/writer/director triple-threat role, and pulls off a magic trick in the story that is best discovered. Suffice to say the movie plays with our expectations as an audience.

I hooted when Mickey just flops out of the printer.
This is a movie made with a budget by people who know what they're doing on all levels. My only critique was too much time devoted to the oversized Ruffalo and Collete characters. Even though they delivered some laugh lines they're in it way too much. The science, the philosophy and implications of the science, and the and interplay between every other character was more interesting.

Two hours and twelve minutes for which I was completely transfixed, as the story goes to new and unexpected places - sometimes fun, sometimes not so much. Knowing the plot and themes of the film, I am certain that I'd get new experiences out of seeing it a second time.
All in all, every aspect of this movie was outstanding.
