the ending throws away every good thing the movie does. which is awful cause that 20 minute or so sequence in the club and after was probably some of the best filmmaking I’ve ever watched. I’m really not sure what that ending is supposed to add thematically asides from completely recentering the movie. would have given it 5 stars otherwise. very upset cause it’s so emotionally in touch in a way that’s perfectly complimented by the beautiful cinematography but the awful plot spoils everything.
maybe I’ll change my mind later who knows! for now it is what it is.
