Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a wickedly smart script that deconstructs the so-called happy American marriage into a battle where words are used as combat, rather than weapons. It's pure madness, and keeps building up the tension to never make it's audience lose focus, nor interest in the characters and what's happening around them.
The performances are incredibly masterful. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Barton's long monologues might sometimes be over the top, but it totally works in the context.don't drink, mmmkay kids?
