By making the ending supernatural, Perkins makes the same mistake many directors of investigative thrillers make, i.e., that man is always scarier than the devil.

Is this the first anti-imperialist heist movie? Politically and socially incoherent, very lib-tarted, but with a sound design nearing Dunkirk levels during times that mattered, the movie made me think but only because the premise, an American Civil War in the 21st century, failed at almost every turn. 1. Fincher letting his nuts hang purchasing the entire Smiths album with that big N money.
    2. A great example of how a movie can be set in the present and still show that perpetrating a crime has everything to do with intelligence, rather than the lack of surveillance in a period piece.
    3. Michael Fassbender playing one of two natural characters of himself, stoic German, other being maniacal German.
