It is quite interesting to hear the perspectives and mixed feelings of Greeks after the film has ended. Discussing a plotline as unorthodox and a cinematography as meticulously crafted as the one of "Poor Things" seems challenging. Yet the Greek viewers were stern; Lanthimos is weird. so sweet and thought provoking. I’ve never been a particular fan of documentaries but this reflective look at a generation caught between uncertainty and ambition (a generation I myself am part of) resonated deeply with me. it’s reflective nature can even be spotted visually. the quiet, observational style allowed the voices of the young people to take control of the narrative and no matter how long they went on for or how silent they would be.
