RPattz is great in this, it's so fun to see him play against himself. Ackie and Yeun are great too, okay actually everyone's pretty great. I really loved Ackie's character and I'm interested to read the novel and see what Nasha is like in that. I wonder if Bong knows how cool it is to have a black woman character who's so competent and so devoted... very cool stuff. But yeah, this movie was basically just what if Okja was about a human and not a super pig.

The screening I was at was either sold out or very close to it. Great editing for something that is essentially the most depressing vlog you've ever seen. I almost wish it had been even more personal. I loved hearing Basel talk about and show us his father. The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie 2024
This is exactly what it says on the tin, it's a Looney Tunes feature length film! Farmer Jim absolutely killed with our audience and was something that struck me as an especially millennial type of bit. I got to see this with an intro from author Dan Sendker who told us all kinds of cool history and context for the film and then followed by a Zoom Q&A with Eric Bauza the star twice over of the movie!!! It was so cool to listen to him talk about his work and his love for the animation industry and its history.
