  This movie was so beautifully made!!!

  I watched it in theaters with a black audience, and the moment the candle flickered back on, somebody said “Glory…!” And the whole theater burst into a mix of laughter, applause, and praise. It is so important to see well-written stories like these on the big screen. I remember reading this play in high school alongside Fences, and was obsessed with the spooky ghost story of this family who found freedom from slavery, yet…

  This movie was so much fun. Cooper and Lady Raven were having a diva-off and I’m not sure 100% who I was rooting for. Cooper defiantly serves charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent - how could you not say cunt? Such a yummy film with yummy camera direction :) Oh! Go Birds! 🦅
