  REALLY REALLY solid version. i appreciate all the effort to put in anachronisms like the late 1800s hairstyles and the older carols. the allusions to scrooge's corn trade (which, timing wise, was probably product out of ireland huh.) genuinely kind of a scary version too, they do a fantastic job with the sound design and making it spooky. nailed basically every effect except the marley doorknob but i think nobody ever has done that well. including dickens

  lots of unintentional comedy with regard to the parts of the editing that were presumably genre conventions but despite that the negative film transition when hutter arrived at orlock's castle slapped. all in all one of the tighter adaptations of dracula i've seen plotwise
