Watching from: GAC with M&K after a delish feed at Bar Copains. Girls night!!
Similarly to Palo Alto (which I love), this felt like lil vignettes of Shelly's diary rather than a fully realised/linear film. Nothing revolutionary but there's a quiet poignancy to the film and of course I love a pretty picture. Also gotta love the seedy Jason Schwartzman cameo.
Today's double feature theme: revenge and freaky jesus people
I asked Jake to pick a "fun, dumb, non-cerebral/non-artsy" horror movie and this is what he chose. I can appreciate the beautiful cinematography and score, but I felt like it was filler for a slow plot. I can get amongst ~style over substance~ films but when it comes to horror/thriller I have 0 attention span and just want to be entertained from beginning to end.

ok i always thought matthew mcconaughey was ugly but after rewatching this he's kinda hot!
