I gave this a rewatch on Criterion’s 4k disk earlier tonight and I guess I need to round this up a half star to a full 5, at least for second viewings.

It is even better the second time around.

If you’ve somehow not given this one a watch yet, you should do yourself a favor and check it out.

Just a quick blurb for now, but as you can imagine, this was well worth the watch on the big screen. Skarsgård, as always, is fully immersed in this character and it's unique to anything he's done before, which is nice.

The costumes, camerawork, sound design, the dark, damp, often-times claustrophobic and foreboding feel all greatly add to the experience. Go watch it in the theaters while it's still there.

I'll take a deeper dive into a review after Christmas.
