Hilarious, over the top gory but also very surprisingly poignant. This is truly Osgood Perkins’ most personal film, he takes a stab at horror comedy by showing that he isn't afraid to poke fun at how ridiculous the cursed toy subgenre is while also making the story his own by mixing in his own personal experiences with losing loved ones and how it affected him. I believe everyone will be talking about this one for the next years to come (whether you love it or hate it). I’m ready for what he’ll bring with his next "dark trip", Keeper (that post credits teaser doesn't play around).

It’s so cruel to wait a year for Part II, damn ye! As a musical girlie, it exceeded my expectations and left me breathless by the end. Cynthia and Ariana are so fantastic in their roles as Elphie and Glinda, Jonathan is incredibly swoon worthy as Fiyero, the rest of the supporting cast couldn’t match the energy those three had combined but they’ll have a chance to show off their characters more in Part II, so don’t fret. If you think it’ll be darker in Part II then get those tissues ready cause it’s heartbreaking. ❤️🩹
